Hi all, I've got an Anniversary edition (2003) DB7, apparently only thirteen of these right hand drive coupes were ever made and, with other models such as the Volante and left hand drive cars celebrated the last of the DB7's manufactured, perhaps even fewer exist now (the right hand drive coupes as I have) through accident write offs etc. It has the required colour of Slate Blue, parchment dials, caspian and arctic blue leather seating, (can't spell upholstelry without looking it up!) Touchtronic transmission, grey brake calipers etc, It's of course the V12 engine and has done 49500 miles, it's in good condition but could do with a professional valet, I'm just wondering whether or not, because of it's seeming rarity, it's a car worth hanging onto from an investment point of view, I paid £29000 for it about 7 years ago, does anyone think it will go up much in value? Perhaps more so than, (dare I say) 'usual' DB7's? Thanks, any help would be appreciated, Tony.

Hi Tony. It sounds like you have a great DB7 and one certainly worth holding onto. When it come to DB7 values the Zagatos and GT's are where the serious money is at, but pristine DB7 and DB7 Vantages in the right spec are now bringing the sort of money the GT did a few years back. The rarity of yours as a special edition will help the price over a standard Vantage, but won't bring it up to GT or GTA levels.

That said, however, I wouldn't look at it as an investment. Keep it in excellent condition, drive it and enjoy it. Unless you wreck it or put a wild amount of mileage on it, count on it not depreciating. Anything over that is icing on the cake.

In the AMOC forum you'll find a long running thread concerning DB7 values. It looks like the DB7 and original Vanquish are just starting to transition from used cars to "collector cars" and there is more interest surrounding them these days. The DB7 is a great car to drive and great to look at so I'd say you'd be safe holding onto it for a while and selling it for what you paid and maybe a little more.
