Had an E63 W212 estate now for about three weeks. What a car!

Things I love:

- The sound
- The sound
- The acceleration
- The sound
- The lux finish
- The internal space
- The 360 camera
- The sound
- The sound

Things I've been disappointed by:

- The Media interface/iPod doesn't work. Keeps losing the connection
- The heated seats are much slower than the Volvo I've got

It is a fantastic car, post up some pics.

Ref the heated seats, I think Volvo have always been the daddy in this dept (maybe Saab)

But they are minor niggles i think.

I once took a trip to Mercedes Benz world and they were demoing various AMG V8s on the test track out the back, the most evocative engine note I have ever heard in real life, as opposed to TV or anything like that, astonishing. Made me want an AMG very badly, maybe one day. Congratulations on owning an awesome car.

I have only had it flat out a couple of times 0-70(ish) and the sound when you put your foot to the floor is astonishing. Combine that with the feeling of having entered some sort of time warp and its an incredible beast.

Good choice and a lovely car, though I may be slightly biased. biggrin

Have you got the correct cable for the Apple interface thing? Apparently this is critical to their ability to perform. And yes, the heated seats are crap but, if it's any consolation, the cooling/vented things are worse. frown

If you want more noise, a resonator delete (replaced by H or X pipe) is very simple to do and opens them up nicely, though not too "in your face". They also respond extremely well to mapping, should you ever decide to go that way.

That's my favourite colour for a 212.

(and favourite engine & noise combo too of course)

Took it back to Mercedes as the iPod kept "disconnecting" and then reconnecting for no apparent reason - they diagnosed the cable (it was a legit MB cable). Took it away and its now worse than ever. Have rebooked it in, luckily its all under warranty.

That and the loud brake squealing are my only complaints. Its an absolute joy to be in.
