Hi All,

I'm a relatively fit 40 year old and I have recently, over the last couple of years, noticed that when I bump my knee in to the coffee table or door etc..........the pain is like 9/10.

It makes me feels woozy and a little dizzy and the I have to rub it and sit down for a minute.

When I was younger, LOL, I would be able to just brush it off and carry on as normal after 10 seconds....but now, it takes the wind out of me more 2-3 mins!!

Anyone have any experiences of this?

I have the same - i have lump under both knees too, thought to be caused by something called Osgood-Schlatter disease. Is the pain actually the knee, or right at the top of the shin?

I would agree, but the pain when you knock just under the knee is incredible, makes me feel sick!!

I have a similar problem with my left knee, we have a lamp tucked behind a sofa and if I bang or even brush against the sofa I get a short and sharp pain for a couple of seconds just below my kneecap. It feels like an electric shock and once over if I poke or prod it it feels totally fine!
