BL Alternate sources - Allegro calliper pistons and seals

Never thought I'd be writing this but...

I am looking for new pistons and seals for my Allegro 1.5HL front brakes. Also a pair of air filters (twin carbs don't you know!).

Tried fleabay (seals yes, pistons no) and my local sources. No joy. As a member of the owners club I sent an enquiry off a few days ago and nothing back yet.

The font that is PH may know what other BL products used the same callipers as the Allegro, so far I have not. It would appear that they used the same calliper for all Allegro models, but I'd rather rebuild mine than fit an unknown quantity.

Is it Calliper or Caliper is another dilemma...

Is it a P14 caliper? It takes the same pad as the OHC Vauxhall HC range, some Dolomites, Avengers, and the like.

Type 14 is a two piston affair, Allegro is single piston, sliding calliper.

I believe the Allegro Club have there own stock of spares, as I know some one from the club, via the Rover 200 Club. You need to give them time to respond, it's an unpaid enthusiast run organisation.

Brake Parts UK seems to stock both piston and seals for a 1.5 Allegro.

If those aren't correct, post up the size or Google for caliper piston catalog and you might be able to find the same sizes listed for other cars and a part number.

Not sure for others, but just had calipers done on bmw by Bigg Red. Exceptional service, cheaper than their own estimate, and faster. Perfectly packaged too. Very happy bunny.

As I had absolutely no response from Owners Club for forum authentification nor from my spares request, I am not renewing membership.

Got pistons and seals from Biggred.

Seems a few sites "list" them but don't actually "have" them...

Having trouble getting a master cylinder seal kit now!
