I am looking for a business commercial credit card to be formed under a new limited company. Purely as we cannot get credit accounts with our suppliers as yet we would need this for maybe 6 months. I've been rejected for 2 now which appeared to offer cards to newly formed businesses but said no. This is very odd as me and my business partner both have good credit scores, so unless there has been a bit of clever marketing here on behalf of the CC companies something is amiss.

I don't want to go applying left right and centre as this will affect my personal credit score, so can anyone recommend a company that we will have a high chance of being accepted with? My plan B is to use my personal credit card which has zero spending on it, but the whole point of a limited company is to separate business and personal risk!

And you want to make your business venture the credit card providers risk instead?

Is that not what every credit card company does anyway? I'm not sure I see your point.

My point is that you apparently want to hide behind the protection of a Ltd for a new venture and want someone else to take all the financial risk for you.

Why should they if you won't?

My point really was why advertise a product aimed at startup companies if they're not willing to back it up? I have no issue if no one wants to offer us a card but why make me go to the trouble of applying, adding a search to my credit report and then rejecting.

I was asking if any companies WILL offer a card.

That totally depends on your business proposal and financial needs, but I believe I can confidently state none will fund your business 100%.

It isn't being used to 100% fund our business, the premises, equipment, website, etc. have all been paid for by us. It would be used to buy materials for jobs that are on a 30 day payment term and cleared when the client pays. However, you don't actually have any human interaction with these companies, they simply put you through a system.

I'm with HSBC for business banking. I hate them and they refuse to take any risk (unless you're a corporate it would seem) but they do give you a commercial card. It may be worth speaking to your business bank manager. Perhaps get a few months of trading under your belt using the debit card or paying by BACs and then asking for a credit card.
