Thought I would have a go at this, and the rear drums. What would anyone recommend to clean up the calipers and drums with first. I will be doing it with the parts still on the car rather than taking the calipers to bits.

I cleaned mine with brake cleaner, just spray it on. I used an old toothbrush in the tricky bits, then leave it to dry and paint away!

Most caliper paint comes with a cleaner of some sort, mine did anyway which I bought from Demon Tweeks.

All painted a now leave to dry for a couple of days........... what a s****y job. Bought a kit which you mix the paint and the hardener and youve got four hours to paint it before it starts to set.

So it means all four wheels off at once and axle stands etc etc...

The spray cleaner was good though... had a strong smell wow man!!

There is another type which you dont have to mix yourself which is better, also sold by Demon Tweeks (for next time). It is much better in every respect you dont have to throw away the brush afterwards either like the self mix stuff.

Mike

whenever I paint anything I throw away the brush!! Buy cheap brushes and have a pint instead of washing

next time??? you mean the paint will wear off???

Managed to do both front calipers, mounting brackets and my rocker covers with the 2-part mix set I got - still ended up throwing some away. Reckon you could do calipers, drums and rocker covers if you cleaned them well enough first.
