I got the keys to my new house yesterday!
I haven't talked to any of the neighbors yet or started moving stuff.
It seems to be near Northampton, (Towcester), Warwickshire and even Lutterworth. Lovely roads!
Seems to be peaceful.
The kitchen is the "hub" of the house and you can really isolate yourself from the world.
The house is a little cold.

I'll be ferrying stuff like engine bits and my tool kit too and fro today.
I think my spare engines will go in the former coach works/garage and the rest of the little bits and pieces will go in the potting shed, rather than in the house like last time.
Can't decide whether to have the online-accesible computer in the former stable/office or in my bedroom.....

Congrats mate well done. I think you should employ a cleaning lady this time so perhaps keep the technology away from the house and maybe have a wireless network so u can use ure laptop.

Towcester?
Time to sample the pubs then, all 14 of them in one road!! I've only got as far as the Plough though before it looks like a fair trek home

mxdi I'm not sure just how far Towcester is. It sounds like I'll have to sample the local delights sometime though.
Parrot of Doom, I talked to the neighbors before I moved into this dump in Coventry. All seemed wonderful.
It meant absolutely nothing, for they are bitter useless rude tossers from hell. Also I couldn't have envisaged the kind of chav that hang around here damaging cars and causing general mayhem.

The new place has enough space from the neighbors anyway...and they are mostly old.

nonegreen, I don't have a laptop yet, but that will be the next step I reckon.

Good work mate.. best get out whilst you can!

This worried me a bit:

It seems to be near Northampton, (Towcester), Warwickshire and even Lutterworth.

If you don't see why it was a worry, I can't help.

Have fun in ya new cottage.

Steve.

Yeah well it had to be near work...
Good luck to YOU with your new Aston.
I hope you enjoy it. The engine should be a real peach- sounds and revs GREAT!

Rup,

Congratulations chap!!! Hope it wasn't all too stressful and the rest of the move goes well. Get yourself a lappy with wireless and you can work from wherever takes your fancy - great bit of kit!

If you need a hand with anything just shout.

hello
hope all goes well for you and you settle into your new abode....you are in the heart of RR and Bentley show country in Northamptonshire..i guess, not your type of car but i'm sure they would be keen to gain from your fund of engine knowledge.

Yes, we'll be there. No new toy yet. Shouldn't be too long though.

I'm really really happy for you hun What a lovely cottage and peaceful area it seemed to be and not far from bigger places. Now you can work on your cars because you have space.
