Boxster 2006 arial

Hi all, can anyone tell me how I can check that the arial work properly, I would try a cheap proprietary one but don't recognise the connector on the existing one ?
All help appreciated as thinking of getting another head unit (suggestions appreciated) but if the arial doesn't work !!
