DB9 Dash Warning Light

I'm looking to buy a 2012 DB9 and on test drive I noticed that it had an intermittant red light on the dash.

I've marked it's position on a photo. It had no label or clues!

The guy selling the car didn't know what it was either.

Can anyone help please?

Anything to do with the low power battery save mode perhaps?

It came on a couple of times during the drive.

Any other owners have the light on?

Its the security system telling you no tracker tags found.

Many thanks for that. I'm not sure why it would come on and then off during a drive? A fault?

The key was inserted into the dash slot so can't have been out of range.

Maybe a low battery in the key?

Usually low battery. They can be a pain so i went to the Iphone sync option which was fine until recently as i now get intermittent red light showing when driving.

Not noticed the light flashing during driving?

The manual states that if the light doesn't go out to try the other key (assuming there are two) and if that fails... Yep, you guessed it 'go to the dealer' (and no doubt warn your wallet!)

I've not had mine long so hopefully there will be others with more experience who can advise further
