Anyone good with electronics? I fitted a 12V lighter socket so I can plug in a dashcam and road angel into my V8 Vantage. I took a positive feed from the heater fan rather than stripping out all the dash back to the existing cigarette lighter sockets. This has caused a slight interference with the tuner on the radio, i.e. it doesn't hold the signal too well.

Has anyone done something similar but taken a different positive feed or does anyone know of some kind of suppressor that will stop this issue?

cheers.....

conducted emissions leading to radiated emissions. Take the supply from a clean circuit or use screened cable and fit a filter to the power supply.
Rear view mirror is a good one.

If you do fit a filter, try fitting it near the dashcam and at the source of the power. If the interference is caused by a crappy dashcam then the filter near the cam will stop the noise propagating into the cars electrical circuit. If the noise is created by the vehicle and being conducted/emitted by the cable to the dashcam then fitting the filter at the source of the power will stop that. Twisted pair and/or screened cable will also be a big help.
