Thought I'd start a new thread for this years trip.

However, given the forum rules and random enforcement (Mr Mods - this is not a dig at you or the forum rules), would people prefer a Facebook group be set up so we can list up the spare bits we have / want that we are willing to bring?

NO! I don't do TwitterBook.

Please keep it all on here, Mods permitting.

Hi Big Al,
I think there has been a misinterpretation of intent here.

Please note that these parts are not for sale, but are a mutual store, broken into separate manageable amounts carried in different cars, to be taken along on the Eurotour, and only used in case of emergencies.

It is quite unrealistic to expect one person to carry all the spares on the trip.....

No problems with Big Al as a rule, but I wont extend that courtesy to some Mods. Having been accused (and sent to jail!) by one Mod of breaking a car when drawing S owners attention to NEW parts which had become available, you will forgive me for some cynicism.

However, as some of you know I do try to get Facebook S owners onto PH but there is certainly a degree of resistance from those who see PH as restrictive and authoritarian. Not exactly good for PH

Anyway, I am quite willing to PROMISE ON MY HONOUR that any parts I list on here to be carried with me as spares for the potential benefit of ANY member of the S club Eurotour are NOT for sale. I am quite prepared to accept that any such temporary use should be compensated for in liquid form.beer A careful reading of the PH rules does not appear to preclude thatread

maybe we should start a list then

magpies = socket set and spanners, drill, tech screws, tape and cable ties, spare wheel and puncture repair stuff, spare lamps, tow rope. I'll add more later

I don't make the rules, one of the unwritten rules (at the moment) is swap threads they are not allowed you can arrange what you like though email, but regrettably NOT on the forums.

If a thread of this type is left up all we'll get is well you allow them over in the TVR forum. It happens all the time on numerous reports.

However can I suggest you drop oliver.moore@haymarket.com a mail and get your thread OK'd.

I'll flag it up and ask the question for you if you like? that's about the best I can do.

That is a sensible offer Big Al, I think we should take you up on it. Oliver Moore is Customer Experience Manager at Haymarket and gained my respect when he took a sensible and pragmatic approach when I appealed against my 'jail sentence'.
Perhaps editing the title of this thread to S Club Eurotour- Spares would be sensible to save drawing inappropriate attention?

Would you like to add 2.5kgs of assorted stainless steel metric bolts to your spares kit for free?

Well you can't have them for free! laugh but you can have a box in return for a small donation to WORKAID, shall we say £5.00?

I have 9 boxes which I will bring on the EuroTour. It's a bit of a random selection in each one so it is something of a lucky dip, but for £5.00 you won't be disappointed thumbup
