Hi all,

Doing a full rebuild and am a little stuck. I cant remember what hoses and wires come out of which holes in the rear passenger arch from the boot or if there was a rubber grommet or something in the holes. Anyone able to take some pics so i can make sure I get it right?

Sorry I haven't got pics of this area but I can tell you the tank to pump fuel line comes through the big hole and the cables that go to the fuel pump, carbon canister and speedo all come through it. There is no grommet unless you make one, OEM is just a big dollop of silicone.

I have hundreds of pictures of anything else if you need it lol, including how the cables track the chassis.

Apologies for the dirty chassis. Pictures taken before my rebuild.

I can take some more around the pipes and wires if you need them.

I have recently done this exact job, and would highly recommend that you replace the fuel line coming through the car. The pipe is a 10mm OD mild steel line and I found mine was rusted to the point of only being 9.5mm in places the line can be made for about £60 in stainless steel and will resolve the issue, the only caveat is that you would have to make the join on the inside of the car as there is not enough good steel left to use. But, this is no major issue as you can use a standard hydraulic 10mm compression fitting on the end of the hose.

My concern was that the line is under 5 bar of pressure from the pump, if it goes its going to drop a LOT of fuel directly over the rear tyre and so could become an instant accident if there is any speed involved!

Hi all, perfect, thanks for the replies. I have actually replaced every hose on the car including the complete hardlines as I had corrosion on the bits that stick out in the arches.

Need to find the time to upload some pics of work done to mold thread that I started about 2 years ago.....
