Dash pod/gauge lights
Discussion
Hi guys,
another job i must get round to.. Noticed on the night the dash pod lights are pretty poor like barely visible at all.. Odd one or two have no light what so ever! I was just wondering what the best option to replace them is?
Read a topic from years ago & saw someone had some pretty tidy green lights in there's which lit up very well on the night, wide angle w5w led's i think? Has anyone changed there's over if so any advice?
cheers
Steve

My suggestion would be to stick with the "normal" bulbs but go to green 5W ones. You'll probably find the bulbs in there at them monet are only 3W and the TVR "design" for getting a green light, was to put green coloured plastic over the bulb. Meaning an already weedy 3W light became even dimmer. Also consider ditching the stupid resistors which operated the off/dim/even dimmer control.
Using "normal" green 5W bulbs is a quick, simple & cheap experiment, and if you don't find they improve things sufficiently, you can then move onto the clever-clogs LED option.

cheers! One shall take your advice & try the green 5watts, i havent actually taken one out but just to double check they are w5w's right? Pretty sure the auto electrician has taken out the resistors for me already, remember him mentioning them last time i took my car up to him & the dash lights come on with my headlights now
