Alarm remote

Is it possible to purchase a spare alarm remote? I think my one is a Mita ? alarm.
When I park the car up, the remote won`t lock the doors for at least 30 seconds after the door has been closed. Is this normal? Cheers

Could be a problem with the door switch, a little push switch on the sill. If it's not getting a good earth it wont let the doors lock.

Might even be something as simple as low batteries in the remote.

The remote does have new batteries in it. Could be the door switch I suppose, when I first got the car the door switch didn`t work, when I took the switch out about a gallon of water poured out! I`ll try the link a well, Cheers, Steve

You can order a new remote from the manufacturer if you have the 'red card' with the codes on it. You do however need to get a dealer to programme it into the receiver though. Just ordered a new one for mine (inc immob key as well). You'll need to prove ownership of the car / ID etc
