Lagonda V12 question
Discussion
Strictly speaking, this isn't an Aston Martin question, as the Lagonda concerned pre-dates David Brown's takeover of the Staines firm, but this looks like the best place to ask.

I was obsessing over W. O. Bentley's final masterpiece, as I am often wont to do, and I was having a close look at the steering wheel boss. It has two switches - that on the right is labelled "throttle" and "open" and "close" either side. That on the left is labelled "shock absorbers" - but I can't read the lettering either side.
Can any Lagonda experts please enlighten me as to the function thereof? Did it have some sort of variable ride dampers? And what of the throttle switch, given that it has the same three pedals as any modern car?

"Lagonda Owners group" there are some people there who are very knowledgeable about pre-war Lagondas. As for the throttle I expect it is just a hand throttle for starting and cold running rather like a choke. Mine has one but then it also has a Ki-Gass pump and it's not a V12.
