Hi All,
I've been having a poke around the engine bay of my new Cerb. I've found what looks like an "easy charge" connector on the battery. The red wire (blue band) goes to the positive terminal and the black to the cam cover. Does anyone recognise the make? From some photos I've found on the internet it might be a CTEK?

At the same time, there is a wire (yellow band) coming off the positive terminal and a black wire coming off the negative terminal that both head off under the expansion tank. Where do they go (and why are they coming directly off the battery)?!

Could they be for a radiator cooling fan ecu bypass circiut? Do you also have a switch on or under the dash somewhere? Mine has this with an inline fuse, quite handy and helps to keep your underpants clean if you are stuck in traffic in hot weather and the temp needle constantly cycling up to 100c,
Thanks Paul - that's a great spot. It's on the list for Str8six to sort out - Jason said they're pretty hard to come by, but at the moment I don't have any coolant issues (touch wood). I like the orange water rails - it would match the rest of my car!

It would be great to have a switch for the fans, but I haven't found one yet. That said, the interior was retrimmed in 2014, so it could have been hidden then. I'll have another hunt around. Gassing Station | Cerbera | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
