C36 future classic potential

Have been contemplating adding a C36 AMG to the fleet as they seem to be very good value at the moment.
I figure that as well as being a nice fun quick car it could be a good investment as its the first mass production AMG. Or, is it just a quick C Class and far away from the pedigree of a Cosworyh developed 190E?
