I know the accepted wisdom is CoG but I happen to live half way between RPM and JZM and I am not a driving god (yet) so a 20 min drive instead of 150 miles doesn't seem like the worst decision!

Anyone used either of these for Geo? I have a 997 GTS. Other option would be OPC which would probably be Silverstone as my experience of the sales dept at Hatfield left me as impressed as a lot of other people.

i looked at Parr and Paragon for my last geo (they both race and have good reps). JZM are prob a good bet, i know they have the latest Hunter kit in their workshop.

Quick question to all. Are Hunter machines created equal? I ask this as my local place has what I assume is the latest Hunter equipment. On the ramp, lasers, rock back and forward, put the wireless laser thingys on each wheel and then brings up toe, camber, castor and another measurement I can't remember. Shows red/green and a line with regard to manufacturer specs. The tech then goes and adjusts everything (including the front by removing the liner under the bonnet) to get everything green. They then print me before and after measurements. I pay £80 for this.

Do JZM etc etc do anything extra/different?

Does your local place check the suspension over to see if anything has worn, do they load the car with weights to allow for fuel/driver, do they just get it set up to be somewhere within the green, do they road test it before/after, will they set it up as you want?
It's not quite as simple as just getting the settings in the green. They still need to be equal each side, and if you have any worn items, the settings will change as soon as you drive off. That's what you get if you go to people like Center Gravity, JZM, RPM, etc.

Weights, yes. Test drive before and after, yes. Equal each side, yes. They aim for the factory spec centre line. I wasn't criricising any of the other places mentioned here, I just wasn't sure what the process was and what adjustments take place.
