Took delivery of an F12 (2013) at the weekend replacing my 599. Every review I read before taking the plunge has been absolutely spot on. The car is truly amazing and much as I loved the 599, there is no real comparison. The F12 can go from "shopping trolley" (its already been to Sainsburys) to full on adrenalin rush! An amazing car. If anyone out there is thinking of getting one, do so. You will not be disappointed but you will be amazed at its breadth of capability.

Congrats! F12 looks amazing and hope to make the same switch myself some day. What colour/spec did you go for? How much faster does it feel? I'm only 3 months into 599 ownership and it feels really really quick. Can't quite get my head around having another 130bhp under the bonnet! smile

Congrats on the 599, really enjoyed mine. Hard to believe but yes the F12 feels way quicker. I think it's the combination of the extra bhp plus the dual clutch gearbox. The shift speed is unbelievable. Also makes it much easier to drive in town traffic. Much smoother and more progressive. If you do change you will not be disappointed which is saying something when you consider what an awesome piece of kit the 599 is!

Wow that sounds amazing!
Black with Bordeaux is a superb choice, too.

Congratulation on your F12. I am considering the same move. i had a new one on order when they first came out but a move to Switzerland made me cancel the order. I am now back in the UK and will be considering again. What price level did you experience when looking for one.

How does it compare for a daily driver to a M3, RS4, M5 type car?

I've just moved from 599 to F12 and run a M6 gran coupe as my daily, having had F10 M5 for a few years before that.

For what it's worth in my brief ownership period so far I've been very surprised at how benign the F12 can be in auto and low revs, very comfortable and I'm sure it could perform this role admirably. Various threads on some of the Ferrari forums about using it as a daily drive I seem to recall. It's low speed manners and gearbox are on a different level to the 599, much easier to drive and doesn't feel such a big or imposing car on the road. Cabin is obviously a lovely space to sit. Haven't explored the upper reaches of its performance yet but of course it can transform into a ballistic missile if the mood takes you. Even with bumpy road set to on the ride is still a lot firmer than comfort in my M6 and the BMW i drive and display/sat nav is in a different league to the F12, although that itself is a huge step up from the 599 Becker unit. I think the economy, firm ride, tech user interface, exhaust sound and attention the car gets might start to erode the daily drive experience a bit.

Having said all that just watched the top gear road trip DVD where Hammond starts acting scared as he's driving round some mountain road corners in the F12. IMHO that's all a load of rubbish and just theatre for the camera, the car will be as docile or scary as the driver input dictates. You could potter around those roads very calmly if you so choose.

Just my thoughts, each to their own, love my M6 as a daily drive, will keep the F12 for Sunday afternoons. Mind you it is red so hardly a shrinking violet, perhaps Nero or a more understated colour would suite it more as a daily drive car.
