Of the 5 minutes I played of the beta it looks really pretty and the movement looks pretty similar but maybe a bit easier? You hold jump when running up to the jump instead of having to time it just right. I think that's how it worked, I only had time to play for 5 mins, hopefully will have more time tonight as it runs out tomorrow!
Do you want a beta pass? I have one spare.

Just sent you an email, but the open beta runs out at 5pm so you'll need to be quick! I was wrong about holding jump instead of timing it right - I played for about 30 minutes last night and the movement was just as good as the first one for me even though I did change from mouse/keyboard to pad.Of the two people I fought the combat seemed much better too, it's definitely on my list of games to buy but not at £50.
Thanks very much Nige, unfortunately I didn't realise your first reply was on Monday so by the time I got anywhere near the computer last night it was already well past 5pm. Hope that doesn't mean your pass has gone to waste if there was someone else wanting one
That's encouraging news about the game though, except about the price - is that the console RRP? I'd probably get it on PC anyway, PC games tend to be cheaper than the console versions, or is that not the case here?

Everyone I know who wanted to get into the beta got a code so it's no bother, they sent 2 to everyone which is why I had a spare.
£50 is the pre-order PC price direct from origin! Amazon have it at £42 for a physical copy, g2a have it at £32 for the Origin code which is verging on a price that I might pay!
I'll see how many hours of gameplay there is too, that price isn't worth it for a 15 hour story and a bunch of 'go here' side missions.
