AM I THE ONLYONE WHO THINKS NEW SPARKLY (DIFFERENT)ALLOY WHEELS LOOK GOOD,I HAVE SEEN A FEW FOR SALE ON PISTON HEADS WITH AFTERMARKETS AND TO B HONEST I LIKE EM,I LIKE EM ALOT!!!(MICHAEL CAINE IMPRESSION),8 SPOKE CHROME JOBBIES? YES/NO???!I THINK THEY JUST BRING THE CAR INTO A MORE MODERN LOOK AS STANDARDS ARE A BIT DATED NOW.SORRY GUYS...N GALS. NEW BOY ROB

It's all opinion, I like the 'TVR' look but didn't like the standard alloys. I've put anthracite spiders on mine and I have a set of silver spiders for my trackday tyres.

Do think carefully before choosing big rims. The handling of the car changes as rim size increases. Less flexibility in the tyre wall leads to tram-lining and later but less progressive breakaway. 17" is a good compromise between good looks and road poise.

If you are refering to the bling-bling chrome wheels I think they are shocking and chav myself!

How do I go about getting some of those. i really want some anthracite spiders, but don't you have to get some kind of conversion kit to go from 4 nuts to 5 (sounds painfull)...

Yep. You can either put yourself on the waiting list and wait until they get their act together or do as I did and pester the life out of them at TVR Engineering until they fold under pressure and decide to help one of their customers. The kit is seriously good value for money, basically sold at cost because they have an oversupply of these wheels. There really isn't a simple alternative because the Ford 5 stud hubs can't be made to fit.

Now that just goes to show the diversity of opinion about wheels, as TBH those are far from my cup of tea.. still if you like'em enjoy'em.

i think they look ok but there r better designs on the market.....i dont like the flatness of the spokes(or wotever you call them).i like the number plate though.
