The pub is the Crown & Stirrup in Lyndhurst. It is on the Brockenhurst Rd.

I'm afraid the excuses were:
Car not running.
Was in Poole attempting to stick tiles to a wall (gravity was having other ideas, bloody Newton messing where 'e 'ain't welcome. )
