CEL light

Hi,
What happens to the car when the CEL comes on if you run an aftermarket exhaust that has 100cat or a decat on a 996 turbo/gt2 ?

Perhaps you need to code out removed lambdas?

I haven't got one fitted, I am just curious to know what the car does when it comes on

It depends what code is behind triggering the CEL. The CEL can come on for a whole host of things. On my car with headers and 100 cell cats but not a 911, the CEL is for cat efficiency. It's basically the rear lambdas.
