Hope you can help - I have my first triathlon on Monday and just noticed my bike tyres have a lot of tiny cuts in them. The last thing I want is to get a puncture and knacker my chances of hitting my target time so I'm going to replace them before the event. First time since I bought the bike.

I've been looking at online sites, reviews etc but I'm completely flummoxed. There's too much choice. Could you advise a tyre to go for ? Preferably something I can pick up in local Hargroves

My current tyres are Specialized Pro II, 700 x 23c and it says dual compound. The bike leg on the Sprint is 20K over hilly terrain. The area has a lot of flint so needs some level of puncture protection. If they can take 10min off my time then all the better :-)

Bike is a Specialized Allez if it makes any difference.

Cheers.

Vittoria Rubino Pros.

Probably not the lightest but good grip, especially in the wet and very puncture resistant.

I have used a set for nearly 2000 miles, 0 punctures and never had a slip.

Thanks ! They are on sale as well. Good reductions, is it worth going to the Diamante given the discounted price is pretty reasonable ?

Not used the diamente myself. Thread here discussing the difference between the two:

Consensus seems to be normal are harder wearing, diamente slighter faster but less durable.

Diamente wont make any difference to your sprint time vs normal, but a puncture will
