Weight apart, what are the physical dimensions? Is it pallet-sized or bigger? Would whoever it's being collected from be willing to secure it to a pallet?

If so, then there are various pallet delivery firms and aggregators.

Will it fit on a pallet? Most delivery companies with things of that weight just want to load pallets rather than handle the item.

If so: http://www.pallet2ship.co.uk/

Here are the dimensons: Product dimensions (WxDxH): 87 x 107 x 157cm

Its not on a pallet, couriers would need to load on back of van.

Thanks but its not really a parcel, couriers would have to carry it out to car park from school building.

So only just overhanging a pallet, if it's upright. Worth asking.

Expecting couriers to load 150kg non-palletised is a bit much, I think, especially given...

Is it worth hiring a tail-lift van and a hand pallet trolley, and collecting it yourself?

I agree its not easy without a pallet, cant do it myself due to injury, this item was bought for rehabilitation.

Nobody will touch it weighing that much without specialist lifting equipment (expensive)

If it was on a pallet it would be gone tomorrow.

I think you're going to have to find someone to pallet it up

Most pallet companies offer to bring a pallet and shrink wrap with them.

Not sure if it helps but Evans Transport are in Barnstaple and are part of a pallet force network. Also in Barnstaple is William C Hockin that does general haulage and also has vans. Maybe worth calling them to see if they can help?
