Changing the exhaust at the moment and snapped one of the cable clips that holds the lambda sensor leads. Headed to my local dealer to get a replacement but they couldn't identify it in the parts system. Removed the broken bit but no part number on the piece that's left :-(

Can anyone identify the correct part so I can replace it?

Part number for 'Cable Holder Oxygen Sensor' for a 996 is: 996 606 101 01, though not knowing which model you have means it may not be the one for you. The picture does look slightly different to the base of yours so may not be. (part no. 27)

That's closer than the dealer got! Although not exactly the same as you mention, should have added it's a 2004 GT3

Had a look through the PET for a 996 GT3 and no cable holders listed strangely, perhaps explains the dealers difficulty in helping you.

Looking at the non cooking 996 PET, it lists a left and right side holder but no pictures to compare your photo to.

Left: 996 606 157 07
Right: 996 606 158 04

Might be worth a punt?

Is this anything like yours? From a 997 but with a non 997 specific part number. Appreciate it has a different mounting position to yours but another option smile

I think you've got it with 996 606 158 04, left and right clips are different, and the online image of the left clip looks correct for my car so in theory that makes the right one correct! Thanks for your help
