Fix one thing find another!!

Slight hairline crack in passengers side exhaust manifold discovered.....it's very accessible.....so......could this be done insitu??

Or best to remove.....just a cheap temporary fix will do as I'd like to enjoy the car for a bit before a serious strip down and return/upgrade.

Cheers

One of the reasons our cars are so light is because the manifolds are featherweight.

You will need to remove them to get them welded properly, but in my experience once they are repaired by an experienced welder they will last.

Before I had my Tig set down at the garage, I welded a crack in front of the Lambda sensor on the cerb in situ. Wasn't the best of welding, but it did last, and I will only clean it up now because I can and not any other reason.

If your willing to spend the time to take it off then go ahead, but my personal experience has been successful so yes, its possible.
