Does a GTR or Sports really need a heater?

Poll:
Unless one plans to drive the car in sub-zero temperatures, does one really ever use the heater?
Demisting of windows on a rainy/muggy day could be accomplished with the fan on and no heat.
Who here uses the heater in a GTR or Sports?

I use my heater a bit but I take my car out in all weather. I am sure that you can do without the heater but the most important element to me is the air conditioning which is combined with the heater.

If you drive your car in weather as cold as it is today (+ 3C or so), you will need a heater and the heater which comes with the aircon package is extremely efficient. I love driving the Ultima on cold, dry winter days but only ever use the first fan speed as otherwise it simply gets too hot inside.

I think a heater/demister is required for sva.

I've tried to use my heater, but it doesn't seem to heat or... I haven't been able to figure out how to turn it on. Seems all I get is aircon. So I have one of those goose-down vests that substitute on cold days.

I've used my heater at Knockhill to warm up and demist....in June!

using the car this week and i like the heater. If you are going to use it in winter you need to beable to de ice the windscreen.

I did a complete winter with a marcos with no heater and it was hell. No fun at all scraping iced breath from the inside of your screen, it was deadly

Just out of interest how many people use there car in winter?

I use mine in winter and had fun when I hit snow after a crest where the wind had blown it over the road. My "aircon" defrosts the windows too, although it gets rather cold using it.

Not me. Mine came off the road end Oct and going back on beginning Apr. I don't like the idea of all that salt on the road, doesn't it mess the alloy panels up? Plus I had a number of winter mods to work on...

Don't buy a whole lot on those shoping trips, other than the six-pack or video, right
