None Of The Used 570'S Seem To Be Moving
Discussion
They're not moving because asking £185k for a 570s with lots of CF/Extras is a case of the dealer building too high a spec and then trying to flip it. You can get a great spec 570S for high £150k and that includes the lux and security packs.
My guess is that a LOT of people will be ordering 540C's for not a lot over £135k and they'll look identical and go 97% as fast.

Please can you post some links to the new 488s at £200k. Thanks.
The list of a 488 is £183k. Russo corsa, black leather, shields, led steering wheel and upgrade wheels. Sorted!it is a thing of beauty but delivery now Dec 2017 for new orders...didn't even ask about the Spider!

there's a 488GTB in Maranellos that is surprisingly similar to your spec waiting to be picked up - not you is it?

I am not saying that you can get one now, but you can order one and if you don't go crazy with the options it will be very reasonably priced for a Ferrari with 660bhp. My problem with the 570 is that it's the cheap model, the bread and butter one with a list of £143k....to get it to £185k is barmy!it is a thing of beauty but delivery now Dec 2017 for new orders...didn't even ask about the Spider!
According to CAR magazine the 488 and 570 are direct rivals (just repeating, not my own words, separate discussion)

The 488 wait until Jan 17 will undoubtedly be delayed so its a 2 year wait. The cheapest advertised available 488 with RHD & VAT is £260,000. An almost new 570s is available at a McLaren dealer for £163,000. That's £100k less, seems like good value in comparison to me? What seems even better is a used 12C at £120-£130k and perhaps thats why the 570's are not moving, if indeed they are not moving? Also as the wait for a 570 is not too long, everyone who wants one has either has one on order or can get one quite quickly so there is no point in getting one in a spec / colour you don't want at a premium?

That's funny, as Autocar rate the 488 over a 650S in today's edition lol

Don't tell RamboLambo!! He loves to quote Autocar & I imagine now he'll cancel his subscription

Mind you, they've yet to compare them on the track yet, so there might be some relief, or sorrow, depending on how it goes.. Lol
As you need the obvious pointed out to you "Because I was thinking of buying one" DOH

What's astonishing is that McLaren have not just been improving the tech and outright performance with their cars over the past 5 short years, but also really moved their game on with the other non quantifiable factors. So much so that the 570 seems to be getting an identity of its own - and a great one by all accounts. For it to be considered a competitor against the 488 is a huge achievement and one that 570 buyers would be very pleased about, I'm sure.http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-reviews/compariso...

Earlier on in this, or similar threads, there was concern that there were too many similar Mc models coming out and people wouldn't be able to differentiate. That seems to have been put to bed...and it seems to be f ing quick based upon some of the test drives and customer feedback.
Given that the 650 are mostly spiders and is now well into its 3rd year of production, I wouldn't think there are too many 650 owners, or McLaren, too bothered about the 488 coupe comparison.

Sold my (fantastic) 12C spider & really considered buying a new 570S, I cant quite put my finger on why I didn't, great looking machine but something about it felt 'cheap' I know that sound ridiculous but the fit, finish & interior just didn't cut it for me...Earlier on in this, or similar threads, there was concern that there were too many similar Mc models coming out and people wouldn't be able to differentiate. Got a 488 coming July & unless it blows my socks off it will probably be sold & a 650 Spider will replace it!

I don't think anyone could argue that you need more performance than this has for road use.
