Engine cutting out when under load

Hello all,
My car has been laid up over winter and has developed an issue, in that it will start fine and rev though with no issues in neutral but when you try to drive it the engine just dies when it is put under load. Has anyone else had the same issue? Any advise most welcome. It is a 4.5 v8 if that helps.

I had an issue two years ago on my Tuscan S6 engine.
It wasn't as bad as dying completely as it would drive but would miss fire if I tried to accelerate hard.
Turned out to be the coil pack.

indeed, I would have to say coils breaking down.

It could also be a fuel delivery issue, if your fuel pressure is low it will seemingly die under load too.
