Thinking of changing to cx bike
Discussion
I've been thinking of replacing my 6 year old Cube reaction rx with a cx bike.
When I first got the hardtail I fully intended making the most of all the local off road trails, but over the years I've found that it's getting less and less use off road, just the odd jaunt through the woods, but mostly commuting via road and some short sections of dirt track on the Way to work.
I've been down to my lbs who have offered me a decent part ex against new Cube cross race sl
I've looked at the specs on the sl and they seem to be pretty good, and I'm thinking with the narrower tyres I should have an easier time of it on the roads.
it's a little more than I intended spending but if it's as good as it looks then I'm OK with that.
Am I mad or is the the cx bike going to be much better suited to my needs, tbh I find the mtb difficult to make good progress on the roads + I'm not really enjoying it anymore and can't seem to get rid of the urge for a change.
Your thoughts please.

Since I bought a CX bike my hardtail hasn't hardly seen the light of day. I use it to commute to work and on the weekends. During the week I fit another pair of wheels with slicks and have ridden all through the winter. Now our local canal path is becoming dryer if been fitting the wheels with the knobblies, road to work, canal home. You wont regret buying a CX bike, I love mine!
