What bike... Kona Dew or ?

I've recently started commuting to work again after a five year break. I dusted the cobwebs off my ancient Scott Timber MTB but it's showing its age and the fact I used to do a 30 miles a day on it. By showing its age what I mean is it's completely knackered; most of it has been replaced at least once and needs doing so again.

I'd like a hybrid of some sort and plan on spending about £300 ish. My commute is a mixture of roads and cycle tracks. The tracks are well surfaced but do get muddy when it rains.

I've seen this Kona Dew for £279 at Halfords:

Is there anything better at this sort of budget?

Probably not, its not the lightest but well under 30 lbs so wont feel that heavy. Its a solid base to upgrade parts when they start to wear out but its pretty good for the money straight out of the box.

Ive got a Dew, was a great bike for commuting, never missed a beat, nice frame for price

Thanks both. I've ordered one and just need to decide what to do with the old bike; whether to keep it for winter or to flog it.
