Well as some of you know one of the A-frames on the 390SE had been very badly repaired by welding a patch over one of the cracked bush carriers with the polybush still in place - resulting in interesting handling and a blob of plastic hanging out of where the bush should have been. No new A-frames were available and also no second hand ones, even at Douglas valley etc.

Anyway A-frame was dispatched to RT Racing who have manufactured a new bush carrier tube of the correct size, cut the old one off and welded the new one back in the correct location using a jig. A-frame should be back with me in 2 days.

And the cost for all the work, including VAT and carriage (@£15) - less than £100. Absolutely delighted with that and worth knowing if anyone else is ever in a fix. Can't wait to get four wheels back on the car and then hopefully get it over to Mark Adams for a full set up.

One point but does anyone know the correct torque settings for the A frame suspension bolts and tie bar? There's nothing in "The Bible". Thanks.

Well they're nothing special so you could look up established tables for the size of bolt or... as they only really need to be tight enough to stop the bushes pivoting on the bolts, use the Mk.1 uncalibrated forearm - i.e your skill and judgement biggrin
