Clutch Slave cylinder Again
Discussion
Whilst I have been a cerbera owner over the last nearly 6 years I have pretty much every year read something about the clutch slave cylinder.
I know the ball ache of getting the gearbox out etc as well as the slave and master but the master was a simple engineering fix to make it easier in the future.
Any way
The original TVR slave. Single seal
The race proved slave double seal
But doesn't seem to have solved the problem
With a bit of time on my hands this morning 4 in the morning i had a thought, why does the slaves both original and race proved don't have ptfe guide seals which would keep the piston and cylinder aligned. I have seen many a photo where there is scoring. Which must happen from misalignment as its metal on metal contact which with misalignment would wear the seal oddly and leak.
It's early morning I'm tired not been to bed yet so shoot me down if I'm talking bull s

I'm not sure what's worse? Thinking of those things at this time of the morning, or reading about them I know the ball ache of getting the gearbox out etc as well as the slave and master but the master was a simple engineering fix to make it easier in the future.
