Did I read correctly many months ago that some of you were able to have your P&J and second car insured using the same no claims bonus taken in to account?

Sorry should have said, please can you give me details of the company you used as I am looking for a similar deal.

Chris uses Admiral, they'll mirror your existing NCB onto an additional policy, but won't protect it. The theory is, that after a year, you can take it away and insure with someone else, thereby having two sets of NCB.

However, they weren't that competitive. An additional £200 compared to Tesco, but had to go with them to get the NCB.

I have my cerbera with Peart, who last year mirrored my NCB on a new policy for me for an additional vehicle ( Land Rover Disco), but I can't remember if it's protected or not.

Are you the only driver on the policy?

I am the only driver on both policies, but firstly because the other half doesn't like driving the Cerbera ( so no need to insure her) and secondly because she had a small claim on her own insurance last year - because of this they couldn't or wouldn't mirror the NCB with her on the Disco policy - made no difference to me - they would have mirrored the NCB including her if she was claim free.
