Book it in for a service and MOT. It should be at your nearest MOT station. I keep my car tax all the time with six months between them. Means you can it on good weekends in the winter.

I agree, book both together.

It's not worth taking the chance of a prosecution and £5000 fine!

Not heard of one of those before. I normally keep it taxed and tested throughout the winter but decided to SORN it this winter to tidy up the underside and slap some Waxoyl about, more on myself as it turned out!!! Proving to be a pain in the neck of a decision, nice winter days and that. Now I figure I have 3 choices.

1) risk it
2) tax it and be done with it
3) move the service date

For the sake of £13 extra for the month why not tax it and save the worry.
