I have a couple of small car bits that would be zinc and yellow passivated from new , but can't be disassembled to be plated.
Can anyone recommend a airbrush paint that would get close to it ? Below is the finish on some other parts and trying to replicate.
Thanks

Tamiya Clear Yellow X-24 or Clear Orange X-26. If you can get it to stick...

Normally I would have said Alclad pale gold + white aluminium, but I doubt it would survive long on a real working engine.

Frosts (car restoration supplies) list a paint that's intended to replicate the passivated finish: http://www.frost.co.uk/automotive-paint-coating-el...

I can't say how good it is, but then even if you could get it to pieces, if the parts aren't in perfect condition then re-plating won't be all that good.

Thanks all. That Frost kit seems designed for the job, so will give it a go.
