I've read articles on the CLK 320 cdi manual which included prices and technical specs but I've never seen one. Do they not exist in the UK / only available in certain markets or are subject to special order ?

Never even an option AFAIK on any recent MB with a 6 cylinder diesel.

Thank you. Well that's what I thought...

We'd need a brochure to be certain but all the specs and figures listed online are for automatics only. In 10 years on MB fora I've never heard of or seen one. That's not to say there may be one out there, but I am dubious.

I knew you could order the 6 speed manual for the 4 pot but I didn't know you could for the 5 pot. Every day's a school day. Pretty sure the 6 pot is automatic only, for the UK at least.

Anyway, the OP said he found reference to it online so who knows? I searched for a 2005 or later UK brochure but drew a blank. Mysterious.

The link to Autocar in my 2nd post tells us that there was at least one V6. The 5 cylinder 270 cdi CLK with manual 6 speeds seem to be fairly common, as well as plenty of 220 cdi CLK but I've never seen a manual 320 cdi CLK. My dad looked at a number of E 320 cdi estates and a few of those were manual so the hardware seems to be there but possibly not the demand.

they used to be an option in some countries - as was a W209 convertible 320cdi (saw one in France a while back and was jealous) but the engine was detuned (torque limited) to stop it smashing the manual box - so I don't think they ever sold (co2 wasn't much better and the performance wasn't much better than the 220cdi).

all from memory (from when I had my 320cdi's - lovely mile eaters and fab engine)
