What does the DIN socket do on a 1970's car stereo?
Discussion
My son has a Sharp 5300 car stereo (radio cassette) with a DIN socket on the back. No instructions of course. Back in the 1970's, the best I could do was a mono MW/LW radio so I have no idea what it does.
Can we plug an ipad/tablet in here and enjoy music off these? Is it for one of those whizzy graphic equalisers which seem to have disappeared these days? If it's the first, how do we wire up?
