Just wondered what the best insurance company is right now for a 1998 Cab 996 doing about 10000 miles a year owned by my wife

Thanks - Admiral were our previous insurer but their prices seem to have shot up this year

I heard today Martin Lewis talking about car insurance increasing 20% this year.

I'm with Matt at Henderson Taylor. Always the cheapest for me whether air cooled or water and proper cover with salvage retention and OPC windscreen fitting, etc.

I was pleasantly surprised by Direct Line who charged me about £380 for my 2003 Targa, 12000 mile limit, business use included, full no claims and I'm 53. Attached it to an existing policy I have with them for a Classic Impreza on the same terms which costs £190. Quite a lot of fun for sub £600pa.

Yep, I'm with Direct Line too. Mannings wanted £800 more, and as I don't do track days there was no advantage other than Mannings will cover an OEM windscreen. However, with the saving I've made, if I need a new screen I'll just pay for it myself and I'll still be ahead.

I did a reasonable amount of shopping around at renewal time and also ended up going with direct line
