Agree with all the above. That's definitely a home-made body, no self-respecting coachbuilder would own up to something like that. I think the builder was trying to emulate the Roesch Talbots in style.
I suspect the "Le Mans" moniker is an attempt to associate the body style with cars that raced in period and had a similar appearance.
