Specing a new 911 4S - options
Discussion
Deposit is down on a 911.2 4S, (due Sept) I have decided the big choices, however I am struggling with the minor options plus my budget is really to the my limit.
My local dealer let me have a have a 911.2 4S over the weekend. Which has help me decide to choose the 14 way instead of the basic 4 way seats. I have include the 'Light design package'(630) however after seeing it I was not really impressed for costing £300 for some standard inside car lights, what if you don't have spec this what's the alternative? I know £300 is not much on the grand cost of the car, however that £300 could be used to say for the 'silver Trim strips' which I think will look really nice on a 'Sapphire Blue' with 'Carrera Sport wheels' keeping to the blue and silver theme. The other dilemma is the what Interior trim to have with the 'Graphite Blue leather' I was going for the 'Interior package carbon' but I have not really see this combo properly (a few small photos only). I am starting to think the Brushed aluminium interior may well be better. (I have not seen this combo properly either). I originally thought of the 'Graphite Blue / Crayon two-tone leather interior' however I do not think this is that practical being so pale(and the black is too dark).
Has any one got any photos of 'Graphite Blue leather' with 'Interior package carbon' or with the'Brushed aluminium interior' and what is the result if you don't go for the 'Light design package'?
The current chosen spec is:

If your going to drive the car in rain you need a rear wiper...People say the rain is blown off at speed...this may be the case but if your trundling through town at low speed and then have to reverse you can't see clearly. Worth adding it to the list as after fitting is not cheap. Good luck with new car...

I never had nor have rear wipers on my 911s. Luckily they don't even offer them on GT models
. Even in rain, rear visibility is perfectly fine. pick what you like, it's already unsellable with "Graphite Blue leather interior" :-)
That is the thing with options, they are personal options every one will have an idea what they want, NO one can tell you what you want, as can be seen with the 1st 2 posts which I might add seem daft comments, but then maybe mine is also daft !

Just a couple of thoughts - I borrowed a 991.2 for a weekend recently and it helped with my order. I've always had the sports seats, but they are now called sports seats plus. The difference is substantial and the sports seats in the demo car were no good for me, and especially my wife as they offer little support when pressing on.
It also had the brushed aluminium which persuaded me that carbon was the way forward. Rather than the leather casing on the steering column, the extended leather to the rear centre tunnel is a better choice IMO.
Enjoy the wait! My C2S spec is locked tomorrow, so hope I haven't forgotten anything.
