Have noticed that only when the car is cold and idling, what appears to be fuel leaks quite a bit from underneath the car, just in from the front left wheel at the plate. It seems to stop once warm. This is accopmanied by a strong smell of fuel in the car, which, like the leak, soon goes. I have done the cursory glance at the fuel pipe from the top of the engine, and all seems well. Any ideas where this might be coming from?

if your car has the later internal fuel pipes then there's two unions under the coolant tank that could be leaking ...

Cheers Joolz will check for that. Is it potentially 'engine fire' dangerous driving her if this is the case?

Yup, many have had firse start up in the exact same area... the battery gets involved and the whole thing goes up like melted cheese on toast!

Has she started dripping again? I'd get her to a doctor asap - unless i - w/o - £££ is in the equation...
