Illuminated door sills - 991,

Hi --
Just purchased a 2013 Carrera S and the driver side door sill (illuminated) does not light up. Passenger side works fine. The driver door lights etc work, can I assume its the actual light / LED? Fuse guide in the handbook would suggest other things would have gone too.

Has anyone tried to replace this blub without the assistance of a man wearing Porsche overalls? I'm sad because I'd really like to see that thing light up when opening the door. Yes - that sad.

If I were you I would have a search on the net for places that SELL illuminated door sills and then contact them and ask them for a DIY guide

For some reason I thought that they were electroluminescent rather than having any replaceable bulb? Could just as easily be wiring or a switch as the panel itself I reckon according to a brief Google on the installation. If nobody here has anything then it might be better to try the US forums - the mod/DIY pork community over there seems much more active.
