At last the engine has been reunited with car, and things are starting to fall into place. It would be great if anyone could advise me on the following, Is the wiring into the ignition module pole sensitive, there appears to be no symbols on it, One of the wires (BLUE} comes from the negative terminal of the ignition coil, this wire spurs off, Does this wire connect to the BLACK/WHITE wire next to the multi plug which plugs into the air flow meter ? Also I have the wiring for a cold start injector , but the injector has been removed and blanked. Is this common .
Cheers

Both cold start injectors connected on my two Wedges. Ignition amp is VERY sensitive to the wrong polarity as I know from experience. I'll photograph mine on the 350i so you can see which is +ve terminal. Give me 90 minutes....

Right, as photo below the terminal nearest the centre of the ignition amp (red one on mine) is the positive one. The terminal closest to the outside (blue spade) is the negative. Don't mix them up or you will fry your amp, trust me!

Many thanks for the bolt sizes, that has confirmed part of what Rimmer Bro's told me this morning, they also mentioned one of the fixings was an M8 stud , but he did say the diagram he was looking at was not very clear, I have no idea as my wedge arrived in many boxes .One of the bolts on the front of the block must be only 1/2" long due to the pulley restricting it, These bolts also seem to be a larger diameter to the two bolts that go into the side of the block. I will order some UNC3/8 , and see how it goes.

If you are around for the BBWF and still in need of help as to what goes where then would be a good opportunity to have a damn good look at all the various engine bays and layout. I honestly don't think any two Wedges are the same!
