Porsche 991 Carrera 4S PDK (2013 Cab)
Discussion
Hey everyone.
O.k so I'm new to the world of Porsche.
I've just sold a 500bhp Noble M12 track car that was only 1025kg so as you can imagine it was a monster but the wife wouldn't drive it.
So Monday I test drove the Porsche 991 Carrera 4S PDK (2013) Cab.
Refined, beautiful drive, love sports mode, upgrade exhausts sounded great.
Also the wife will be able to drive it (front and back parking sensors) which is good.
I'm just going through a little negotiation we'll say.
£80k, 2013, 12,000 miles on the clock
It's not got Sports Plus package
BUT it does have sports exhaust, light pack, heating steering wheel and seats, 20" classic wheels, White paint, black interior, Bose sound and a few more upgrades.
I'll keep it about 2 years.
This a good spec and model to go for, for a first time Porsche owner?
Look forward to any advice.

Hey
O.k the one I was looking at had the "sports" button which seem to really sharpen it up.
The Sports Plus for what we'll be using it for seems a little bit of a waste to be honest unless your visiting the track constantly.
It's a great performance car in it's own right for daily use and on current roads I can't see where the Sports Plus would come in helpful.

all 991s have the sport button, it's the first button I press in mine after starting the ignition. It makes the engine less lazy, turns on the loud exhaust and adds the overrun pops etc.
The Sports Plus button is stupidly expensive but is fun when in PDK manual mode as the changes are so fast, actually violent. But, it's more of a resale issue... Stupid but true. I would not have bought the car without it due to this... At least the "dash wart" clock actually works as a clock in the 991, in the 997 it did NOTHING!
Just because of the resale issue, I'm afraid it's on most peoples MUST HAVE list along with the sports exhaust. Most of the other options are non-essential...
The GTS gets the 4S widebody and a power boost (coming from a Noble, perhaps a good thing?). The one I had on loan for a month was the best car I've ever driven, I didn't want my 991S back...
