Well its officially on now!

The Big Northern Gathering 05




Saturday will be a lower key event with a, or a number (depending on numbers) of drives out organsied with pub lunches
All drives start at 11am ast the Holiday Inn express (A1036)
Drive 1 - To the west via some challenging B roads
Drive 2 - To the East again taking in some great terrian
Drive 3 - The the North via the Moors and the East coast - both main road and B road driving

Sunday will be a gathering at Castle Howard (brideshead revisted) www.castlehoward.co.uk

If there is plenty of interest for an early gathering in York I will try for a road closure and a city rumble

Im working on the details but it will be a small initial charge per car and then those who chose to do more (like the house, gardens, lake boast ride) can pay extra.


accomodation will be down to you
Ill provide links to hotels in York

Sat night there will be a meeting point for beers

Im really interested in coming to this - might bring some friends as is often the case

Believe it or not I've never been to Yorkshire before - whats the food like & do you get much chance to drive fast in all that snow you get in the summer??

Could you drop me a line with more details & I will have a chat with the locals.
