Simple job , had my C4S done. It needs wiring in and a laptop to set up. I got my indy to do it for me. A really good mod. It helped that my indicator lever was broken anyway, so an upgrade was a no brainer.
grumpynuts did you buy an entire kit for this ? if so where did you purchase it? Thanks again in advance
Regards
Barry
Barry,
You only buy the 4-stalk indicator/wipers/etc controls/stalk assy.
You then need to make up a mini-loom as wiring is not present. Oh and buy VW type connectors to hook up to the car's connectors, to make this mini wiring loom.
That done an OPC or Indy or perhaps someone with full Durametric needs to set cruise to "active" in the OBC.
DIY or not?

In fairness, Id rather not do it myself ....... although I'm in the trade I just don't have the time to dedicate to these things - I wish I did ! Thanks for the constructive replies - Im sniffing about to find someone I know locally in the trade who I can reply on to do this for me .You only buy the 4-stalk indicator/wipers/etc controls/stalk assy.

Barry what I am getting at is that unless whoever it is knows exactly what needs to be done, they can't do it for you. Or at least, not for any realistic charge.
In effect whoever did this first did a lot of research into it, it's not something that you would go to an Indy who has not done this before, and it's completed in an afternoon (even though it's really only a couple of hours work at most).
There is some info out there but I am limited by the request made by one of people who probably originated this hack, that information is not published. However he is a very helpful person. If you email me I can give you his name and he can either help you out himself, or "OK" me to supply you the info.
