Can bacon be...
Discussion
Erm? Pardon me for trying to be sensible here but...
Remove pack of bacon from freezer.
Open pack.
Separate that portion of the pack that you wish to consume now.
Place that onto a bowl or plate and cover with foil or clingfilm to defrost.
Seal the remainder of the large pack into a food bag of some kind (I use a plastic 'KlipIt' thing to seal my bags).
Return the large pack to the freezer.
Repeat until the bacon supply is exhausted (this won't take long, as despite the fact that it is most certainly not 'Kosher', bacon is VERY good. Mmmmm! Bacon!
)

He's suggesting that you take off what you need while it's still frozen, which isn't what you asked. You should never refreeze defrosted meat. You'd be safer to cook the whole lot, stick it in the fridge and use it up over a couple of days.
It's not unsafe to refreeze meat as long as it was defrosted in the correct manner, i.e. in the fridge.Gassing Station | Food, Drink & Restaurants | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
