Nice review of a 650s again but he starts by saying the 12C had no soul. All these journalists are like broken records. Some of them drove early 12C's pre any modifications and said they had no soul as they didn't have a loud exhaust and you couldn't turn the traction control off to do lairy slides, Since then every 2-bit journalist has repeated this drivel without experiencing themselves. Please journalists don't criticise, praise or have an opinion on anything unless you have personal experience. The moment he opened his mouth I couldn't trust anything he said, they're all the same, I don't believe a word a journalist says, they are all mostly copy-cats.

Give a journalist anything with a loud exhaust and they spew poetry, horrid crackles and pops on the over-run only add to their pre-pubescent excitement.

Apologies Rambo for going off topic but these so called journalists are pathetic. The 650s is however brilliant, as is the 12C, but I don't need to tell you that.....

Yeah I agree about the early MP4 -12C still not shaking the bad press from launch even with the 3 FOC upgrades. the stigma still kind of exists because the journo's didn't really go back and revisit the reviews as they had moved onto the next latest and greatest car.

I'm sure I saw a Tiff Needall review of a 12C spider that obviously had the upgrades and it was a lot better and more positive although I still think he was not entirely convinced with it against the 458 spider.

IMHO the 650S spider is markedly different than the 12C spider and does really feel alive in comparison. The little tweaks for me did make all the difference.
I went to buy a late 2013 12C spider but when I drove the 650S back to back I could tell the difference lmmediately.

Having come from a 430 Scuderia the 12C did seem tame but the 650S was a lot closer to that raw experience with all the comfort and brutal torque
